Basic Expressions
This section contains online activities that can help children develop their language skills. Our activities teach basic expressions used in simple communication.
The Wordies in Space section is divided into 36 segments called episodes. Each episode presents a short dialogue in everyday language. Kids can listen, read and then repeat what they hear. Besides, they can work through the episodes systematically or in any chosen order.
For each online episode there is a set of printable worksheets for introducing and practising new vocabulary offline. There are also playing cards and board games to make the learning process more fun. To see a list of all the printables visit our Printable Basic Expression Sheets page.
wordies in space
Learn English expressions with the Wordies! They are aliens and come from Wordian, a planet in a faraway galaxy. They are on their way to visit Earth. For that reason they want to practise English. But remember, they are aliens, so their English sounds rather funny!
